This policy explains what information is used when you browse the website, use an available account service, apply for cleaning work or arrange a visit.
Business details
Local House Cleaners London. Business correspondence: 15 Terry House, Upper Tulse Hill, London, SW2 2NT.
Use the contact page for correspondence information. The contracting party and any additional information required for your booking are identified in the service agreement provided before you commit.
Information you provide
Customer account and visit information can include your name, email, phone, property address, service choices, task instructions, preferred dates, access arrangements, booking history and relevant payment references. Cleaner applications can include contact information, experience, languages, areas, availability and services offered.
Provide information that is relevant to the task. Keep passwords, bank details, identity documents and door-entry codes out of general enquiries, application text and work-photo galleries. Use only the specific secure account channel supplied for information of that kind.
Why information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess applications, arrange and carry out agreed cleaning, manage accounts, keep financial records, resolve concerns and protect account security. The legal basis depends on the activity: steps requested before a contract, performance of an agreed contract, relevant legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as preventing misuse and managing service quality. Where a feature relies on consent, that choice is requested separately and can be withdrawn.
A device permission or one application checkbox does not authorise unrelated uses of your information.
Cleaner applications
Applications are reviewed by authorised agency staff. Contact details, experience, services, preferred working areas and availability are used to assess a possible fit and communicate about that application. An application does not guarantee work or create an approved cleaner account.
Identity and work-eligibility checks are separate from the application form. Do not upload documents into ordinary application fields or work photographs. Use the restricted verification process only when it is available and requested.
Sharing visit information
A customer sees the information relevant to their own visit. An assigned cleaner receives the address, agreed work, practical access instructions and other details needed for that job. Agency staff can review the records needed to administer work, payments and concerns. Customer addresses are not intended for general public job-board display.
Service providers may handle information needed to operate a feature, such as hosting, secure storage, authentication or payment processing. The information and choices shown for that feature identify the relevant provider. Card details should be entered only into an available provider checkout, rather than sent in messages.
Visit updates, location and photographs
Location features require the device permission and the relevant visit-level sharing setting. The customer view is restricted to the customer’s own eligible visit, on the booked London day, starting no earlier than 15 minutes before the agreed start. Sharing stops when the job finishes or the permitted day ends; stale reports expire. A device report is an estimate and does not prove a person’s whereabouts with certainty.
Work photographs should explain the agreed work or a reported problem. Avoid people, personal documents and access codes, and obtain permission where necessary. Private visit evidence is not permission to publish photographs in advertising.
Embedded Google maps
Individual location pages display an embedded Google map of the named area and borough. Maps load automatically; the browser may defer loading a map until it approaches the visible part of the page. The separate Google Maps link opens the same area in Google Maps.
Loading an embedded map connects your browser to Google. Google receives the public area search query and technical information such as your IP address, and may use cookies or device storage under its own privacy policy. Our area map does not send a booking address or cleaner location. It shows a neighbourhood reference, rather than a company office or exact service boundary.
Your browser and Google settings control Google cookies and device storage. Leaving the page removes its embedded map but does not erase information or cookies already received by Google.
Keeping and protecting information
Access is limited according to the account role and the job being carried out. Keep your sign-in details private and report suspected misuse. Records are retained according to their purpose, the ongoing account or service relationship, legitimate dispute needs and applicable financial or legal obligations. Information no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted or anonymised.
Different categories can need different retention periods. Ask the business for information about the records relevant to your account or application.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of relevant personal information. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. These rights have legal conditions and may require an identity check.
Send privacy correspondence to the business address above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. The cookie policy explains website storage and preferences.
